Osun NSCDC Nabs Motorcycle Thief On Christmas Day
Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Osun State Command has apprehended a 24-year-old man, Sola Jimoh for alleged motorcycle theft.
According to a Press statement signed by the Command spokesperson, ASC Kehinde Adeleke, and made available to CityMirrorNews, in Osogbo, Osun State capital, Jimoh in his confessional statement, left his home in a town near Osogbo, the Osun State capital, on Christmas morning, December 25, 2024, at 6 am, and travelled down to Osogbo, with the intention of stealing a motorcycle.
Jimoh confessed that when he got to Osogbo, he found a motorcycle parked under a tree at Powerline, with no one around. He quickly took the motorcycle, but the owner soon discovered the theft and reported it to the nearest NSCDC office. The suspect was apprehended while trying to escape with the stolen motorcycle.
The Commandant, Nigera Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Osun State Command, Igbalawole Sotiyo stated that the suspect explained that his motorcycle was stolen in September 2024, which led him to seek revenge by stealing another motorcycle.
Commandant Sotiyo assured the public that Jimoh will be charged to a court of competent jurisdiction where his fate will be determined.
The Commandant also urged the public to provide actionable intelligence to the nearest security agency to prevent crime and criminality.
