Father Remanded For Defiling 16-Year Old Daughter
A 45-year-old Samson Adedokun has been remanded in Kirikiri Correctional Centre on Friday by an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court, Lagos, for allegedly defiling his 16-year-old daughter.
Adedokun, who lives in Iyana-Ipaja, Lagos was arraigned by the state police command
The prosecutor, SP Kehinde Ajayi, told the court that the defendant committed the crime on March 13 at 7 p.m. in his home.
Ajayi said the defendant forcefully had sexual intercourse with his daughter, adding that the crime was reported to police, and the defendant was apprehended.
According to Ajayi, the offence violates Section 137 of the Lagos Criminal Law, 2015.
Mrs E. Kubeinje, the chief Magistrate who did not accept Adedokun’s plea, ordered that the police transfer the case file to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for guidance.
She adjourned the case until May 8 to await DPP’s advice.
