Police Hunt For Killer Of Beer Parlour Owner In Osun

Detectives of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, SCIID of Osun state police Command have launched a manhunt for the killer of a beer parlour owner identified as Iya Bisola who was reportedly strangulated to death by yet- to -be arrested killers.

The unfortunate incident has thrown the entire community of Ikirun in Ifelodun Local Government area of the state into mourning and confusion as police have dispatched team of homicides from SCIID to unravel the mystery behind her death.

The Command’s police Public Relations Officer, SP Yemisi Opalola said the police is already hunting for the killers assuring that they will soon be apprehended .

Her words; “We are investigating the matter. Our men are already on top of the issue, I will keep you updated as soon as arrest is made”, she stated.

Security sources said the corpse of the deceased was found in her house located around Oke Glo Area in Ikirun.

Reports had it that some residents of Oke Glo had expressed shock immediately the news of the deceased filtered into the town .

A reliable source from the community told our correspondent that the corpse of the deceased was evacuated by the police after she was found dead in her room with marks of violence around her neck, suggesting that she may have been strangulated.

A resident who preferred to remain under the condition of anonymity, said Iya Bisola’s business premises was located along Station Road, Ikirun, and was close to her residence.

He said people in the neighborhood of Oke Glo where she lived normally see her in her shop every evening attending to her customers.

“Unfortunately, it shocked everyone to hear that she had been strangulated by yet to be arrested assailants “.

However, the people in the community and her numerous customers have demanded for a discreet and diligent investigation into the matter, just as they called for reinforcement of security within Ikirun metropolis to prevent crimes.

Also confirming the incident, the Public Relations Officer of Osun State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kehinde Adeleke, said officers of the command visited the scene before the corpse was evacuated.

She said “A popular Beer Parlour vendor called ‘Iya Bisola’ at Station road Ikirun was allegedly strangled to death by unknown persons.

According to the NSCDC PRO , the reasons for her assassination is yet to be unraveled.
