Police Arrest Two Yahoo Boys For Killing Colleague In Osun

The Police State Command in Osun , on Tuesday paraded two suspected Yahoo Boys for allegedly murdering one Oguntade Wasiu .

The duo are identified as Wahab Hammed aged 28 and Adegoke Ayobami aged 32.

It was learnt that the duo and Wasiu (deceased) were friends and are into yahoo before he was allegedly murdered by the suspects .

The victims made money more than the suspects leading to jealous and murdering of the deceased in an uncompleted building in Araro area of Modekeke in Ife, Osun state.

The Osun Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) , SP Yemisi Opalola , told newsmen that the suspects were arrested on August 12 , at Alaro Area, Modakeke, Osun State.

Opalola explained that the suspects were apprehended following an information received at ‘B’ Division Modakeke .

According to her, “Investigation revealed that the suspects and the victim were friends and internet fraudsters popularly called ‘yahoo boy.

“We discovered the deceased make money more than them, the duo conspired and lured their friend (the deceased) to an uncompleted building in a remote part of Alaro area, Modakeke in a bid to collect money from him and in the course of struggle he was killed.

“The suspects made away with the victim’s motorcycle which was recovered from the second suspect house. The suspects will be charged to court as soon as the investigation is concluded.”

She added that CP Olawale Olokode he Is not deviating from the earlier promise not to make the State a safe haven for criminals.

Speaking to CityMirrorNews,the suspects confessed to killing Oguntade because he was making more money than them in the internet fraud business.

According to the suspects, Oguntade was macheted to death.
