Osun Police Arraign 35-Year- Old Woman Over Alleged Breach Of Public Peace
Osun State Police Command has arraigned a 35-year- old woman, Ajayi Nife for allegedly assaulting her neighbour Adekunle Marriam.
The accused was arraigned on Wednesday before Osogbo magistrate court on three count charge bothering on assault and breach of public peace.
Briefing the court the police prosecutor inspector Olayiwola Rasaq told the court that the accused committed the offence on October 3rd at Olutimehin estate in Osogbo.
Rasaq explained that the accused inflicted injury on Marriam with fist blow over a minor issue.
He said the defendant also conduct herself in a manner likely to cause breach of public peace by chasing Adekunle Marriam, the complainant in a public place with intent to harm her.
Inspector Rasaki said the offence contravene section 355, 3551 and 249(d) of the criminal code cap 34 volume11 laws of Osun State of Nigeria 2022.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the three count charge.
The defense counsel Mr Olatunbosun Oladipupo prayed the court to grants his client bail in the most liberal and affordable terms.
The magistrate, A.O Daramola in her ruling granted the defendant bail in the sum of 50,000 with one surety and thereby adjourned the case to October 19, 2022 For hearing.
