52-year-old Woman Remanded For Stealing Jewelries

A 52-year-old woman, Adijat Lukuman has remanded by an Osogbo Magistrate Court for stealing jewelries.
The police prosecutor, Olayiwola Rasaq told the court that the defendant committed the offence on January 13, 2020 at Ilesa Garage area in Osogbo.
Rasaq further explained that the defendant did stole some jewelries worth #40,000 property of one Titilayo Adekunle.
The offence committed according to Police Prosecutor is contrary to and punishable under Section 390 and 249 Cap 34 Vol ll Law of Osun State 2002.
The accused admitted guilty to the two count charges leveled against her by the police
Defence Counsel, Ibrahim. A. Imran prayed the court to temper justice with mercy on her client.
In her judgment, the presiding Magistrate, Mrs. Risikat Olayemi ordered the remand of the defendant in police custody for fact.
She thereby adjourned the case till January 30, 2020 for presentation of fact.
