13 Suspected Cultists Nabbed During Initiation In Saki

13 youths some of who are undergraduates have been apprehended by the Oyo State police Command during their initiation into membership of Eye Fraternity, a dangerous cult.
They were rounded up at Saki in a thick bush in the Oke Ogun axis of Oyo State.
It was reliably learnt that a member of the group was killed during a shoot out with Police.
The deceased named Yusuff who was about to be initiated was killed by a member of the cultists who aimed at one of the policemen.
The State Commissioner of Police Mr.Sina Olukolu confirmed the arrest adding that three of the suspects were apprentices while the remaining are students from tertiary institution of learning.
He gave their names as Yekini Kazeem, Arẹmu Ayọdele, Raheem Jamiu, Adeniran Oluwaṣẹgun, Oyeṣoro Damilọla and Percious Ebuka.
Others are Adebayọ Emmanuel, Ọlatunji Kẹhinde, Busari Hammed, Sanusi Mutiu, Akinọla Tobi, Kọlapọ Israel and Kọleoṣo adding that they are students of Oke Ogun Polytechnic,Saki, Landark University,Ibadan National Open University Ibadan Study Centre and University of Ibadan..
Meanwhile,CP Olukoju who on Tuesday paid a courtesy call on media houses in the state capital commended the Journalists for their collaboration with the Police particularly during the last elections.
Olukoju who was at the Correspondent Chapel of NUJ called for synergy between the Security agents and the media in the task to checkmate crimes and crimality im the State.
The Police Boss allayed the fears of residents of the state as regards the swearing in ceremony of the new Governor on May 29 stressing that no member of National Union of Road Transport Workers(NURTW) would be allowed to cause violence in the State before,during and after the ceremony.
