Two Suspected Motorcycle Snatchers Docked In Osun

Osun State Police Command has arraigned two persons before a Magistrate Court, sitting in Osogbo for allegedly stealing one Bajaj motorcycle.
The accused persons are; Muideen Adekunle (34) and Mumini Ismaila(30).
Briefing the court on Wednesday, Police Prosecutor, Mr Fatoyinbo Abiodun said that the stolen motorcycle with registration number KLE87QA belongs one Akinwumi Omoniyi.
Abiodun said that the suspects committed the offence on December 29th, 2019 at about 8: 30 pm at Agunbelewo area, Osogbo.
He added that if valued, the stolen Motorcycle worth a sum of N350,000
The offence according to the Prosecutor was Contrary to and Punishable Under Section 516, 390(9) of the Criminal Code Cap 34 vol ll Laws of Osun State Nigeria 2002.
But, the defendants pleaded not guilty to the allegations of conspiracy and stealing slammed against them.
Defense Counsel, Okobie Najite, urged the court to grant his clients bail, promising that they would stand their trials and would not jump jail if granted bail.
Magistrate A.O Ajanaku granted the defendants bail in the sum of N250,000, with two sureties in like sum.
She said the sureties must be a blood relative of the defendants and a property owners, with building plans.
The case was adjourned till 22nd, January, 2020 for hearing.
