Kidnapper Meet His Waterloo In Ondo

Lucky has ran out of a six man gang of Kidnappers who had been terrorising the people of Akoko area of Ondo Northern Senatorial District.
Parading the Deputy Leader of the gang, Ismail Wakil, the Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Femi Joseph disclosed to Newsmen how the combined team of Meyatti Allah and Police swooped on the hoodlums in their hide out.
According to him, it was the DPO of Akoko North East local government who on suspecting a car parked at the road side that alerted the leader of Meyatti Allah in the area whose efforts led to the arrest of the suspect.
After much exchange of gun fire, he said, members of the gang fled to different directions, even though luck ran against Wakil who was later arrested at Ibilo with wounds sustained from gun shots.
He however assured that the other members of the gang shall be fished out as soon as possible to face the wrath of the law.
Narrating his ordeal, the victim, Prince Omohba Iyagban told Journalists how he ran into the kidnappers who had later ambush while he was stopped by Wakil.
According to him, it was Wakil who swooped into his vehicle and ransacked all his possessions and carted away with over N750,000 which were in different denominations.
He how ever gave glory to God for sparing his life from the hands of his kidnappers who spared no time to demand N20 million ransom from his relations, even though they later came down to N5 million.
The PPRO assured that other fleeing members of the gang shall soon be brought to book.
