Police Arrest Two Security Guards For Killing Their Boss And Daughter In Ondo

The Ondo state police command has arrested two security guards Ayuba Idris (20) and Taisu Abubakar (23) for allegedly killing their boss and his daughter in Akure.

Addressing a Press Conference at the Police Headquarters in Akure, the state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Undie Adie said one Mr. Ojo Adegbusuyi of km 31, Ilesha/Owo expressway, Akure on May 2, 2019 reported that one Kwakye Kwaku Richard Aged 71 years and his daughter Kwakye Tope Aged 27 years we’re missing.

According to Mr. Adegbusuyi, others that were reported missing include their two Hausa Security guards from their residents at Ojomo Akintan Estate, Olu FOAM Ilesha/Owo expressway Akure
Ondo State and that all effort to trace their whereabout proved abortive.

On receipt of this report, the Ondo CP said his detectives from the command swung into action and one Ayuba Idris Aged 20 years that happened to be one of their security guards was arrested in Kano State on 16th May, 2019.

He further disclosed that the handset of the missing person and his suits were recovered from him, and upon interrogation, he confessed that he and the second security guard named Taisu Abubakar knew where the two missing persons could be located.

He thereafter led detectives to a building at Ojomo Akintan Estate, Olu foam, Ilesha/Owo expressway Akure, Ondo State where the decomposed bodies of Kwakye Kwaku Richard and his daughter, Kwakye Tope earlier declared missing were found.

The CP said, his men later evacuated the decomposed bodies and deposited them at the State Hospital Mortuary, Akure for autopsy.

On the 28th of May, 2019, he said, detectives also tracked down the alleged Taisu Abubakar in Sokoto State and one of the victim’s Laptop computers and some clothes were recovered from him.

Upon interrogation, they also confessed to the murder of the victims which the suspects and initially said that they killed their victim who was their employer because he refused to pay their three (3) months’ salary arrears. 

They however later recanted their claim by admitting that the deceased did not owe them any salary.

They said that they also decided to kill the daughter on the same day in order to cover their track since she saw them the day they killed her father.

Mr. Adie however assured that the suspects would soon be charged to court on completion of their investigation.
