Osun Vanguard Neswpaper Correspondent Brother, Olarinoye Kidnapped
The Brother of the Osun State correspondent of Vanguard Newspaper .Otunba Gbenga Olarinoye, Deacon Michael Olarinoye was on Sunday night whisked away by unknown kidnappers.
Deacon Olarinoye was returning to his base in Warri with members of his family after the burial of their late mother, Mrs Abigail Olarinoye at the weekend in Ipee, Kwara state.
CityMirrorNews gathered that the incident happened at about 9:00pm on Sunday during heavy rain while Deacon Olarinoye was driving between Okada and Benin road when the six men kidnap gang suddenly waylaid them after sporadic gunshots that deflated the tyres of his vehicle.
The kidnappers then entered the vehicle and led them into the bush where they were dispossessed of their valuables .
The wife and the children and junior brother were later released while Deacon Olarinoye was taken to an unknown destination.
The matter has since been reported at the Spexial Investigation Bureau in Benin.
Information however has it that the family is yet to establish contact with the kidnappers.
