Suspected Ritualists Nabbed With 11 Human Skulls In Ilorin
Five persons including a woman have been arrested by the Kwara State Police Command for allegedly being in possession of 11 human skulls.
The state Police Commissioner, Mr. Fafowora Bolaji, disclosed this in Ilorin on Friday during a press conference held at the state police command headquarters, Ilorin.
He said that, the suspects were also allegedly found to be in possession of various human bones and hair.
He added that, the suspects were arrested at Adewole area, Ilorin, following a tip off from the members of the public.
The police commissioner noted that, “the suspects after swooping on their location by the men of the command at No 20, Ile-Opa area of Aromadudu, Adeiwple, Ilorin, one Yakubu Azeez “M”, his wife and three other suspects were rounded up.
“A further search was conducted in the building, 11 human skulls, several suspected human bones, a bunch of suspected human hair and other items were also recovered.”
Mr. Bolaji who decried the activities of ritualists in the state said that the Criminal Investigation Bureau of the state police command had commenced further investigation on the incident.
He, however, said that, “as soon as the investigation is completed on them they will be arraigned before the court of law.”
Bolaji also called on the people of the state to be security conscious and inform the police command whenever they had any information about the criminal activities in the state.
