Killing Of Humanitarian Workers In Anambra, Product Of Insecurity In Nigeria-Ohaneze
The Apex body of Ohaneze Ndigbo socio cultural organization, world wide has blamed the killings of the envoy in Anambra State by unknown gunmen on Tuesday on insecurity in Nigeria.
The National Vice President of the organization Chief Damian Okeke Ogene who spoke to our correspondent in Awka, the Anambra State capital described the incident as unfortunate.
He,said it is very regrettable that visitors who are on humanitarian work to the state are killed and burnt in that manner.
Ogene while sympathizing with the diseased family and the Embassy said the entire Igbo race is in mourning mood even as he condemned the act as barbaric,unGodly and unacceptable.
He called on the inspector General of police, Usuman Alkali Baba to
as a matter of urgency set up a powerful investigative crack team to unravel the circumstances that led to the gruesome murder of the envoy and personals involved in the incident with a view to bringing them to book.
” What is happening in Nigeria since the 8years of the present government is very unfortunate, and brings bad image to this country.
The securities in this country should rise up to it civic responsibilities.”We in Ohaneze regret it.
“We are in mourning mood. It is a calamity.
“It is not our ways of life. “The American consulate and the Embassy should bear with us. “It is a product of Insecurity from the national government of this country”.
The governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Chukuma SoLudo is doing his best, but the security situation in the country calls for all inclusiveness.
