Atiku Didn’t Reply To Our Invitation — Chatham House
Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, has been invited to speak at Chatham House ahead of the 2023 general elections.
However, Chatham House’s Africa Programme Director, Alex Vines, stated on Monday that Atiku has not responded to their invitation.
Vines made the announcement during his opening remarks at the Chatham House in London, where he was hosting Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi.
He said the independent policy institute had earlier hosted the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu.
Mr Vines added the institute would host the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Mahmoud Yakubu, and presidential candidate of New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, on January 17 and 18 respectively.
He wrote:
“We have sent an invitation to the candidate of the PDP Atiku Abubakar but he is yet to reply to our invitation,” the director said.
