OSCOTECH Bankers Alumni Celebrates Reunion In Grandstyle In Ibadan
It was a celebration galore as members of OSCOTECH Bankers Alumni of Osun State College of Technology, Esa Oke converged at Ilaji Hotel and Resort in Ibadan to celebrate its second annual symposium. The event was celebrated with a renewed vigour to reawaken the bond of brotherhood that had long existed among the members.
Speaking during the event held at the Ilaji Hotel and Resorts, Akanran, Ibadan, the convener, Mr. Oyebisi Lukman, said the event has opened new avenues to widen members horizon; create a chance to share their history; strengthening the bond of brotherhood that has existed among them and to welcome future together once again as an inseparable family.
He said: “The annual symposium programme of our dear association tagged Oluyole 2022, we all hope will open new avenues to widen our horizon; create a chance to share our history; strengthening the bond of brotherhood we have created among ourselves long ago and become a time to welcome future together once again an an inseparable family.”
“Together, we are building this association on the mantra that “all of us are greater than any of us”. We are now among the class of departmental alumni association driving the right ideal of cohesive relationship among its members”
“Our vision remains coming together as a unit for the greater benefit of the whole. The vision is targeted at inspiring the young alumnus to appreciate the social relationship built over the past years remind the old about the essence of nation building, selfless service, philanthropic support of our Alma mater and a greater future of worthy cause.”
“We shall vigorously pursue this regular organisation of seminars, symposium, conferences on contemporary topics that will ensure financial prosperity for all, institutionalised scholarships for scheme for our students, providing a platform where the strong help in lifting the weak, synergise with the leadership of the department through donation of teaching aids equipment, establishing a job bureau, building a working relationship with the national leadership of OSCOTECH alumni association to take OSCOTECH to an enviable heights among the comity of Nigerian polytechnics.”
“Against this background, we shall institutionalised scholarship scheme for the best student in the department,” he said.
The second annual symposium and Alumni reunion of OSCOTECH, themed: “Beyond Nigeria’s Economic Malady: Re-Imaging Your Future,” had in attendance dignitaries from different walks of life. The lecture was perfectly delivered by Mr Oyetola Ogunmola while Prof. Kabir Adeyemo(Vice Chancellor, Lead City University) chair the knowledge sharing session.
The icing in the cake was the announcement of scholarship to the 2 best students of the department (one ND and one HND) and the presentation of award to some deserving former lecturers.
