‘Return My Mandate’, Hon Ismail Kolawole Tells, APC, Oyetola
A Federal House of Representatives aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Hon. Ismaila Kolawole has called on Governor Gboyega Oyetola and leadership of the party to intervene on the continuous delay in the declaration of the winner of Boluwaduro/Ifedayo/Ila Constituency primary.
Hon Kolawole, who participated in the May 27 national assembly primary said he found the delay of pronouncing him winner as attempt to rig him out and to manipulate the outcome of the primary so as to impose another aspirant of his constituents.
Expressing his displeasure in a press statement titled, “Return My Mandate” personally signed, on Friday and made available to newsmen in Osogbo, Hon Kolawole said he participated and won the primary with majority votes.
The statement reads in part “I want to put it on record that the just concluded National Assembly All Progressives Congress,APC, primaries held in my Senatorial District which I participated was won by me.
“But to my dismay, fraud, manipulation and daylight robbery quickly found its way into our struggle and is threatening to take away the mandate democratically given to me by my party men and women who believe in me.
“I found it so disturbing that our party, All Progressives Congress is becoming the highest bidder gets the ticket rather than a popular votes and acceptability by party members.
“A ruling party must not be seen preaching justice and fairness alone , but must also be seen practicing it by laying good examples for the people of the state to emulate.
“It is high time the party makes available to the public the figures and results of the primary in their custody and let the public compare it with those given to my agents in most of the ward voting centers.
“Let me use this medium to appeal to our amiable Governor, Alhaji Isiaka Gboyega Oyetola to prevail on those perpetrating and creating injustice within the rank and file of our party to retrace their steps in the interest of peace and stability of Osun APC .
“Righteousness exhausts a nation. Let us be seen to be righteous and truthful in the way we manage the affairs of our party.”
