Party Primary: Picking Me As PDP Candidate Will Improve The Prospect Of Our Party-Ayodele Asalu
—Canvasses Delegates, Promises To Keep To His Words
Ahead of the Sunday primary election of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Ede North/Ede South/Ejigbo/Egbedore, a leading aspirant, Hon David Ayodele Asalu has called on delegates that will be partaking in the exercise to choose him ahead of other aspirants.
Hon Asalu in his statement said picking him as the PDP candidate will improve the prospect of the party in the general poll, noting that his candidature appeals to the electorates and delegates cannot afford to miss the opportunity to have someone with their interests representing the constituency.
“I want to appeal to delegates in Ede North/Ede South/Egbedore/Ejigbo Federal Constituency to give me their votes on Sunday because, my win is their win,” he said in a statement he personally signed on Saturday.
“I have traveled across the length and breadth of the Federal Constituency, meeting with party leaders, Elders, Delegates, critical stakeholders and party members, canvassing for supports and votes, couple with our landmark projects interm of physical community developments. It is important to remind our delegates again that, this is not time to be given to sentiment, rather capacity, which I have exceedingly demonstrated in the past. You can all attest that even when I do not currently hold political office, I have been so impactful, facilitating projects and opportunities that in many cases, challenge those who hold offices.”
Hon Asalu promised to be a true representative and bring to bear his resourcefulness and experience to deliver to the expectations of the people, saying “I have learnt the ropes in my over 15 years in the National Assembly and the time has come to make it count for the good of our people.”
“I believe that given your votes and I pick the ticket, I will go on to win the general election and in turn, deliver the representation that our people have always wanted. I will be a representative for all.”
