Osun Guber: Ensure Perfect Victory For APC – Oyetola’s Aide

The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Gboyega Oyetola on Home Affairs, Culture and Tourism, Hon Muhammed Opesina Raimi has called on voters in Osun State to turn out en masse and cast their votes for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the July 16, 2022 governorship election in the state.

Raimi, who made the call during a chat with journalists in Osogbo, said this will not only ensure perfect victory for the party and its candidate but also prevent political nincompoops, confusionists and accidental politicians who cannot even deliver their wards from thinking that they could become the governor of the ‘State of the Virtuous.’

While thanking the people for their massive support for the government in the last four years, the Aagba, Osun State-born politician and former Secretary of Boripe Local Government in Osun State also assured them that the best of Governor Oyetola was yet to be seen.

While enumerating reasons why the Governor Oyetola should be returned as governor, Raimi said there is the need for his re-election so he can continue in that momentum of delivering the dividends of democracy to his people.”

Recalling how the Oyetola-led administration has proved itself one that would not let a golden opportunity slip through its fingers or allow the rumblings of the detractors to drown its resolve, Raimi remarked that the governor has within the last four years enhanced education, health, agriculture, social infrastructure and youth development with other sectors like Industry and Commerce and Works and Transportation also receiving his Midas touch. According to the senior governor’s aide, a lot has also been achieved in the area of peace and unity in the state.

“It is on record that this astute administrator has re-jigged the system to make Osun civil servants productive with a view to justifying the salaries they are drawing. Only last December, the state concluded its recruitment exercise for teachers in the state, employing no fewer than 1000 teachers in its first batch.

“An excellent crisis manager, this sincere leader and committed democrat has done a lot in giving hope, especially, to the disadvantaged people who, practically, don’t have the tools needed to survive these hard times. As a result of this bold step, social menace has been drastically reduced and security conditions of the state have improved. His virtuous attitudes have also gone a long way in helping the people to reinvent the spirit of communal living as in the days of old.

“Mention Culture and Tourism and one can proudly say that the sector has never had it so good! Under Governor Oyetola’s focussed leadership, Osun Tourism Masterplan has been developed and tour operators in the state have been enumerated. Ogedengbe Palace in Ilesa has been restored and the state now has a Yoruba Museum and World Heritage Centre in Ile-Ife. Adire Market is ongoing and youths are being trained in Tourism business. The list is endless!”

“If re-elected, come July 16, 2023, Governor Oyetola’s second term in office will not only usher in a better life for the people but also pursue peace and robust progressive ideas that will always make the state the cynosure of all eyes”, he concluded.
