Eid-el Fitr: Lasun Yussuff Felicitates With Muslim Ummah

Former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives and Labour party gubernatorial candidate in the July 2022 governorship election, Rt. Hon. Lasun Yussuff has felicitated with the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of this year Eidul fitri celebration.

Yusuff in his Sallah message to the Muslim faithful on Sunday, said the holy month of Ramadan, is the fourth pillar of Islam ordained in the Holy Qur’an.

“The month of Ramadan is that in which was revealed the Quran, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion.” Quran 2 verse 185. The fast is an act of deep personal worship in which Muslims seek a richer perception of God. And should be a time to reflect and abide by the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad( SAW) in extending love, acts of unity, and fellow feeling to mankind.

In a message to congratulate Muslims all over the world, particularly in Nigeria, the gubernatorial candidate called on Nigerians to continue to pray for the peace and stability of Nigeria especially now that the country is faced with numerous challenges.

He also enjoined Muslims and other religious worshippers to use the Eidul fitri period for the reestablishment of faith for a brawny and unified Nigeria.

“Beyond question, holy month period was characterized by an vehemently spiritual effort that brought Muslims closer to Almighty Allah.

“On this significant day, we commemorate with the Muslim Ummah and beseech onto the Almighty Allah to accept the acts of worship in the holy month of Ramadan and restore terminal peace and harmony in all parts of the country.”
