Easter Jollity: Osun NSCDC Stations 1,200 Personnel To Strengthen Security
In a bid to create an atmosphere free of crimes and rowdiness,the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Osun State command has positioned 1,200 officers to beef up security terrain across the state as Easter celebration is knocking at the door.
The personnel who are charged to provide an atmosphere free of rancour and animosity across the state, before, during and after the Easter season.
In a press release made available to journalists on Wednesday in Osogbo,the Command’s Public Relations Officer,Assistant Superintendent of Corps II Atanda Olabisi, said the command has set up multitudenous strategies with a security arrangements to make sure the Christians enjoy crime free Easter jollity in the state.
He said officers have been dispatched and positioned on major roads across the state.That Patrol teams and surveillance squads would be on ground to safeguard public places and the recreational centers during the celebration within the state and its environ.
Speaking,Commandant Emmanuel Ocheja who wrote on behalf of the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Assistant Superintendent of Corps II Atanda Olabisi, charged Christians to be in moderation as Easter celebration takes up the air,and be law abiding as crucifixion and the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ ushers in new blessings.
The Release reads: “The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Osun State command has deployed 1,200 personnel to provide security across the state, before, during and after easter celebrations.
Olabisi also sounded a note of warning to those who might want to disrupt the peace of the state to have a change of mind or they will have themselves to blame.
He therefore advised Christians to seize the opportunity of the season to pray for the peaceful co-existence of the people of osun and Nigeria at large.
