—As SA Youth, Aremo Says Oyetola Will Win By Overwhelming Margin

As part of efforts to ensure landslide victory for Governor Gboyega Oyetola in the next gubernatorial election in Osun State , a socio-political group within the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ilerioluwa Vendors has been inaugurated in Osogbo, Osogbo Local Government Area of the state.

The group according to one of its founders, Hon Adegboyega Adelabu Aremo, was convened to galvanise the party behind the governor and leaders of the party and ensure he wins by overwhelming margin.

Aremo , who is the Special Adviser to Governor Gboyega Oyetola on Youth and Sports in an interview with CityMirrorNews said he and other members of the group are working towards boosting the APC’s membership base to ensure victory at the state 2022 governorship election.

At the event held at the Ilerioluwa campaign office, in Osogbo, the Osogbo born political mobiliser said the aims and objectives for the establishment of Ilerioluwa vendors was to have a viable team who would be canvassing and preaching the gospel of Governor Gboyega Oyetola across the nooks and crannies of the state.

He enjoined members of Ilerioluwa Vendors to live up to expectations by diligently discharging their duty and ensuring that the people of the state have better knowledge of the development the governor has brought to the state within the space of three years .

“Canvassing, or knocking on doors, is the campaign activity of systematically going to voters’ homes and having a conversation.

“Face to face interactions are the most powerful way to persuade voters to vote for your candidate or to show up to the polls on Election Day, and canvassing is the best way for a candidate to carefully track the progress of convincing voters to vote for them.

“We knew what we encountered during the last gubernatorial election. At this point in time , we deem it necessary to ensure we canvass votes for Governor Gboyega Oyetola to emerge victorious in the coming gubernatorial Election.

“We would make sure we work assiduously towards ensuring that the people of the state have broaden knowledge of the developmental achievements of the governor and the need for them to cast their votes for him so as to be able to rule the state beyond 2022.

“We are almost in the election year, governorship election is less than a year and we need members of this group to galvanise the party behind the governor and leaders of the party and ensure that the governor win by overwhelming margin.

“Members of the group should discharge their duties faithfully and make sure that all hands are on deck.

“At your local government, know each polling unit, especially the new ones that had just been created. You need to work seriously with the stakeholders, traditional rulers, religious leaders, market men and women, students and many others.

He, however, appealed to the residents of the state to continue to support the governor in his bid to take the state to the greater heights.

Present at the inaugural ceremony are the Special Adviser to Governor Gboyega Oyetola Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon Rasaki Adeosun, Hon Wahab Oyeniyi SSA on Natural and Mineral resources, who is the state Coordinator of Ilerioluwa vendors.

Other APC leaders in Osogbo Local Government are; Prince Adegboye Taoheed, Salahudeen Anuolorun, Prof Rasheed Danni, Adebayo Jonson, Sola Lawal , Hon Tunji Akande, Saka Oloyede, Taye Babaawo, Alhaji Agbelekale , Hon Ropo Alabi, Mrs Falope , Alimat Olaniyi.
