The happenings in Edo and Ondo states are bad omen for Nigeria’s political development though the parties concerned have learnt their lessons in a very hard way.
Chairman All progressives congress in Osun State, prince Gboyega Famoodun made this known while fielding questions from journalists at N.U.J OSBC chapel interview programme CANDID PLATFORM.
prince Famoodun called on those seeking political powers by all means to rather stay off politics than making a mess of it.
Explaining that the All progressives congress has ways of settling rancour among aggrieved members dissuade the insinuation making the round that the immediate past governor of OSUN state ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola and the incumbent Adegboyega Oyetola are not on a good term.
According to him there are different perspectives to governance, and that governor Oyetola is making a move at making things more better as requested by the populace does not translate into quarrel or political grudges.
On whether the local government election will hold or not, prince Famoodun maintained that machineries have been in motion but for the willingness of the opposition parties to know the path the election will toll either parliamentary or presidential.
He explained that the APC did not want election that will be a subject of litigation.
On corruption, prince Famoodun implored individuals to see corruption beyond embezzlement of public funds, thereby calling for a review of Nigeria constitution in a way that will entrench everyone doing the right things always.
