Impotent Man Arraigned In Court For Sexually Molesting 13-Year-Old Girl In Osun

The Osun State Police Command has arraigned an impotent man, Makinde Adeoye, before a Magistrates’ Court for allegedly molesting a 13-year old girl.

Adeoye, who is said to be 30 years old, was alleged to have inserted his fingers into the girl’s private parts.

The prosecutor, Abiodun Fagboyinbo, told the Magistrate Court in Osogbo on Wednesday that Adeoye ‘fingered’ the girl’s private parts, which he said was a violation of her rights.

The prosecutor told the court that the accused person committed the offence around 1:30pm on June 16, 2020 at Isona area, Ilesa.

The charge read, “Makinde Adeoye unlawfully and indecently inserted his finger into the virginal of a 13-year-old girl and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 360 of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol. Il Laws of Osun State of Nigeria 2002.”

The accused person pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Counsel for the accused person, Mr Tunbosun Oladipupo, told the court that his client was impotent.

He prayed the court to admit his client to bail in the most liberal terms.

The magistrate, Ishola Omisade, requested the medical report from the prosecutor and returned same to him after reading through it.

The magistrate, however, said the medical report which the prosecutor presented to the court indicated that the alleged victim was still a virgin.

In his ruling, the magistrate granted bail to the accused person with the sum of N200,000 and a surety, who must be a blood relation.

He, thereafter adjourned the case to October 8, 2020 for mention at Magistrates’ Court Ilesa.
