Remo Stars FC Footballer, Kaka Buried Amid Tears As Nigerian Students Demand Restructuring Of SARS

Tears flowed, tributes poured in as the remains of Tiyamiyu Kazeem a.k.a (Kaka), assistant captain of Remo Stars FC of Ogun State were buried on Thursday at his family house in Ajaka, Sagamu, Ogun state, according to Islamic rites. CityMirrorNews

The footballer was allegedly pushed out of a vehicle by an operative of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS), Inspector Olaniyi Ogunsoro, who had mistaken him for a suspected internet fraudster (Yahoo boy), before he was hit by an incoming vehicle on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Nigerian Students had on Thursday reacted to the killing of the young Remo Stars footballer by the SARS officer.
The students under the aegis of
National Association of Polytechnics students, (NAPS) charged President Muhammadu Buhari on the need to restructure the Police Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).
In a statement signed by Media adviser to NAPS, Comrade Olorungbotemi Tunde Bright, and made available to CityMirrorNews in Lagos, the students condemned the actions of some police officers, adding that they are to protect Nigerians and not to cut short their life span.
According to the students, “We cannot be fighting Boko haram, Herdsmen, Terrorists among others and also facing the oppression and depression from the body that is meant to safeguard the citizens but rather killing them.”
“ Police are meant to protect the lives and properties of Nigerians and not to cut short their life span.”
What a “Garden of Innocent deaths Nation,” the embittered students said.
“The loss of a rising star like ‘Kaka’ is a very sad one, all the perpetrators should be brought to book and not audio sanction.
There are also many special lives that have been wasted by the insensitivity of the security operatives.
