LOREMIKAN: A VICTIMISED POLITICIAN
The rate at which victimisation takes a pride place in our politics is becoming worrisome, because through this; best brains who would have add values to our political socio-economic have left the shores of the country as political refugee in another country.
The oppression of this magnitude has let best brains in virtually prominent professions to do the same.
This is was led to the movement of a politician in Boluwaduro Local Government Area in Osun State to pack his bag and baggages and left the shores of Nigeria to reside in Ghana left and moved to South Africa again to United States of America.
Mr. Oyekanmi Loremikan, Vice-chairman, Boluwaduro Local Government Area of Osun State took pains to be in the Progressives political family of Action Congress (AC) / Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) which is now the ruling party in Nigeria with the name metamorphosed to All Progressives Congress (APC).
Mr. Loremikan who was the sitting vice-chairman of the Local Government and because of his relationship to Ile-Ife and his personal love for Senator Iyiola Omisore during the 2014 Osun State Gubernatorial Election where Omisore was the flagbearer of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), he defected to PDP during Omisore’s campaign to Igbajo in Boluwaduro Local Government Area on Thursday, 15th July, 2014.
As a political office holder, whose party is the ruling party in the state, he had to abdicate his office.
“And the election took place on Saturday, 9th August, 2014 and the incumbent Governor, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola of ACN won the election defeated Sen. Iyiola Omisore of PDP. ” Though, he delivered his local government for PDP.
Mr. Loremikan faced the worst political challenges of his life as he was taunted, molested, vandalised, harrassed and intimidated by his former political colleagues.
When it became unbearable, he had to leave the shores of the country to hide his face in another country which it’s still unknown at the moment.
