Police Arraign Man Over Alleged Threat To Life

Osun State Police Command on Monday dragged a 49-year-old man, Blessing Oladosu before a Magistrate Court sitting in Osogbo over alleged threat to life.
The police prosecutor, Mr Abiodun Fagboyinbo had told the court that Oladosu committed the offence when he allegedly threat to kill one Oladipupo Olaniyi over minor issue.
Fagboyinbo further explained that the suspect allegedly assaulted Olaniyi by pushing him and tearing his cloth into pieces.
He said the accused committed the offence on 27th day of Oct, 2019 at about 08:00pm at Niyi Ibikunle Area, Osogbo, Osun state capital.
The alleged offence according to the prosecutor contravened Section 351,86 of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol 11.Laws of Osun State Nigeria 2002.
But, the accused pleaded not guilty to the allegations slammed against him.
Defense Counsel, Ajibola Taiwo applied for the bail of the accused in the most liberal term.
Taiwo who assured the court that his client would not jump bail if granted said reliable sureties would stand for the accused.
In her ruling, Magistrate Risikat Olayemi granted the accused bail in the sum of #20,000 , with one surety in the like sum.
She said the surety must swear to affidavit of means, produce to the court three passport photographs, means of identification and he or she must be resident within the jurisdiction.
She therefore adjourned the case till Jan 16, 2020 for mention.
