Cleric Commends FG For Renaming Prison
An Ibadan based Cleric Usman Akanfe who goes about as Global Correction Prophet has lauded the Federal Government for changing the name of Nigerian Prison Service to Nigerian Correction Centre.
The Global Correction Prophet who spoke in Ibadan during the week pointed out that the change in the name of the organisation should reflect the behavior of the inmates who should have been moulded after their service
He spoke while reminding his large followers of his efforts to persuade successive governments on the need to heed his warning that worse days are ahead unless we change to God.
Usman Sabit pointed out that behavioral change should be inculcated in inmates and other youths to live the ways of God adding that they should be obedient to God and constituted authorities in the country.
‘”I have privately sent out messages to many of our leaders to seek divine counsel from we religious leaders otherwise the looming disasters will come to reality.
“I am not an attention seeker but one that is genuinely committed to the well being of the country that is derailing.It is a pity I lack resources to fight this crusade of corruption. The stipend I receive is being invested to build a better society ,he reiterated.
“Copies of my book titled”Global Correction and Peace Book” have nren sent to all stake holders in decision making .It is left to them to act on my suggestions to repackage Nigeria for our children,the self acclaimed Correction Prophet disclosed..
He further said that leaders of the country seemed indifferent to the problems being faced by the masses reminding them that posterity would not forgive them if they refused to do the needful.
Usman Sabit who claimed to be a faithful in both Christian and Islamic religions led prayers for the peace and stability in the country.
The Correction Prophet called for religious harmony in the country stressing that religious tolerance should be promoted by all and sundry adding “for no reason should we allow either religious or ethnic war in this country”
