Poll Opens Early in Jos but with Voters Apathy
By Jide Afolabi, Jos
As Nigerians troops, out to elect their governors and House of Assembly members, poll opened early in most parts of Jos, Plateau state capital.
I most parts the city centres visited by correspondent, reports indicate that most polling units opened by 8am.
The Smart Card Readers functioning well in most PUs and voting is ongoing smoothly.
However, there are voters apathy in most PUs visited. For instance, at Vanderpuye ward, Unit 001, there was no queue at all as voters are being attended to as they come.

Most Pus visited are around Jenta Adamu, Makeri, West of Mines, Tafawa Balewa, Standard, Rwang Pam, Panyam street and Tudun Wada among others.
As at 9:30am, most PUs are still very scanty.
