ONE Plateau Unity Forum Urges People to Vote candidates of their Choice

ONE Plateau Unity Forum Abuja has urged people of the state to vote candidate’s of their choice on Saturday during the Governorship and House of Assembly elections while commending all Plateau sons and daughters residing in and outside the state most especially, the members of One Plateau Unity Forum Abuja for their desire to come home and vote.
While addressing newsmen in his office, Pius Yenshi added that, governor Simon Bako Lalong implore every Plateau sons and daughters going to vote to use his or her conscience to vote a candidate he or she believes in without any fear of molestation and to ensure that they report any case of intimidation to the election security operatives.
The Plateau state Liaison Officer, Abuja, Mr Pius Yenshi was appreciated for providing transportation for Plateau citizens during the presidential and gubernatorial elections not minding political, religious or ethnic affiliation.
“This is the kind of leadership that we have been looking for on the Plateau.” He said.
He called on all electorates most especially, “our members to be matured in our conducts, most especially in trying to press home our views and opinion on who should take the mantle of leadership come may 29th 2019.”
He said, “whoever emerges is a Plateau son or daughter. We should be ready to support him or her to succeed for the good of our state as a whole.
“We urge you to shun all kind of violence and not to retaliate to any kind of provocation. May we all prove to be good ambassadors of this noble forum in the spirit of equity and justice.”
Yenshi called on INEC and all the security agencies to live up to expectations by conducting themselves within the ambit of the law for a free and fair election.
“The Rescue administration efforts is to ensure that every eligible registered voter from Plateau base in the Federal capital Territory and it’s environs is not disenfranchised.” He stated.
Meanwhile, Plateau state liaison officer Abuja, Pius Yenshi has announced that governor Simon Bako Lalong has approved the provision of buses to convey all registered voters from the Federal Capital Territory and it’s environs to the headquarters of the three Senatorial Districts as from Friday, the 8th of March to be returned on the 10th of March to Abuja.
According to him, the gesture is to ease the challenges faced by families, individuals or groups who will want to travel home to various locations in the state to exercise their civic duty by voting the candidates of their choice.
He said that every registered voter joining the buses must provide his or her permanent voter’s card just to ensure that miscreants do not take advantage of the free ride and join the buses, noting that the gesture is to further give credence to Governor Simon Bako Lalong commitment to always run an inclusive governance by involving every Plateau indigenes home and abroad when the opportunity avails itself.
While commending Plateau sons and daughters living in Abuja and environs for being good ambassadors for always making the state proud, Yenshi stated that governor Simon Bako Lalong has always held them in high esteem.
The buses take off terminals was the liaison office on Friday by 8am with that of Northern zone terminating in Jos, central zone, Pankshin and Southern zone, Shendam with return journey taking the same route and time.
The liaison officer used the opportunity to wish everyone safe trip to and from Plateau.
