Four Parties In Oyo Formalise To Dislodge APC In Guber Race

Four Governorship candidates in Oyo state on Tuesday in Ibadan formalise their resolve to present a single candidate to flush out the ruling party from power in the Saturday’s gubernatorial election.

They are Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)African Democratic Congress (ADC)Zenith Labour Party and (Social Democratic Party )SDP)

The governorship candidates of the party are Chief Senator Olufemi Lanlehin ,ADC Barr Sharafadeen Alli ZLP Chief Bolaji Ayorinde SDP with a unanimous agreement to direct their followers to vote for Engineer Seyi Makinde of PDP as a Governor.

At a crowded world presss conference at the NUJ press Centre Iyaganku Ibadan ,the party Chieftains, Senator Lanlehin who read the jointly signed statement alleged that the state has been remotely controlled for the past eight years from outside.

“We have therefore decided that in order to present an effective and workable solution to the unpalatable situation where Oyo State has been remotely controlled for the past eight years by outside forces and all magnets,a united candidate should replace the present government.

“We have firmly resolved to present one candidate in the person of Engineer OluSeyi Makinde of the Peoples Democratic Party for the office of the Governor at the election holding on 9th March ,2019.

He further said that in the interest of “our thriving democracy ,we have also resolved that the House of Assembly elections would be contested on party basis and all candidates in all the parties are encouraged to go to the polls and contest for the Seats available in the State House of Assembly.

Senator Lanlehin urged the residents of the State to reject all the candidates of APC at the elections “and vote for our freedom and emancipation
