Buhari’s Victory, Plateau CP Warns against Wild Jubilation
The Commissioner of Police, Plateau State Command, CP Isaac Akinmoyede has cautioned the public against wild jubilation that could lead to break down of law and order in the state.
He made the call in a press release issued and signed by the Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, DSP Tyopev Matthias Terna.
Akinmoyede said that such celebrations is restricted to homes so that hoodlums would not hijack it.
He called on the, “good people of Plateau State who are celebrating the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR in the 2019 General Elections which was held on Saturday 23rd February, 2019 to restrict the celebration to their homes. This warning is necessary to forestall a situation where hoodlums will hijack the celebration to perpetrate evil deeds.”
“Members of the public are by this public notice advised to remain calm and go about their lawful businesses as security agencies are out to maintain law and order.
‘They are enjoined to cooperate with the Police and other security agencies in Plateau State to serve them better”. The statement said.
