Breaking: Sector 7 Impounds ADP Campaign Vehicle in Barkin Ladi
By Jide Afolabi, Jos
The Operation Safe Haven, Sector 7, today, Tuesday impounded one of the vehicles in the campaign convoy of Brigadier General Temlong (rtd), the governorship candidate of the Action Democratic Party, ADP, in Plateau state.
The impounded campaign vehicle, a Volkswagen Wagon branded with Temlong and Mwanmut poster armed with generators and speakers playing campaign songs was impounded for playing music at the check-point. The driver was also taken into custody.
All appeals to the RSM, Alkali S. not to impound the vehicle proved abortive.
The impasse was however resolved when the governorship candidate intervened and queried the Sector Commander, E.O Ojo, “is there any communication to the public at the checkpoint to that effect?” The apparently obedient Commander kept mute.
Then, he continued, “despite that RSM was informed yet you drove drove my bus in. There is no command without communication. Do you want me to call the Chief of Staff? Is that how I trained him?” He concluded.
Thereafter, the vehicle was immediately released by the clearly humbled Sector.
The convoy was heading to Bokkos for campaigns.
