Onnoghen: Tension in CCT as Chairman, Defence Counsel Exchange Words

As the trial of the suspended Chief Justice of Nigeria, Honourable Justice Walter Onnoghen continues today at the Code of Conduct Tribunal in Abuja, there is tension presently at the Tribunal as the Chairman, Danladi Umar, and thedefensee counsel led by Chief Adegboyega Awomolo engage in a hot exchange of words.

Argument began after the tribunal Chairman, Umar insisted that proceedings must continue despite the agreement by the lawyer to the prosecution, Aliyu Umar (SAN) and Awomolo, that the case should be adjourned to a later date in view of some recent developments in the case.
