We Need University For The Physically Challenged- Fadahunsi

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the 2019 Osun East Senatorial District election, Prince Francis Fadahunsi, has decried lack of attention for the physically challenged people in the country.

Speaking to newsmen in Osogbo,after hosting children from the school for handicapped, Prince Adenigba Fadahunsi, said the country has been unfair to people living with disabilities.

The ex Customs boss however demanded for a law that will give better attention to the physically challenged people.

He said, “by the grace of God if am elected I will propose a bill to enhance a social welfare package for the physically challenged and ensure that the school for the handicapped gets a tertiary institution.”

Fadahunsi said the idea of special school for the people with disabilities was good, but stressed the need for government establish specialise universities for people with special needs.

The senatorial hopeful also called on well meaning Nigerians to come to the rescue of the physically challenged.

He said “it is time to stop this emergency philanthropy that make our people respond to the needs of the physically challenged only when they seek political power.”
