The State of Osun Executive Council has directed the dissolution of all boards of parastatals, corporations and commissions, especially those whose terms had expired.

This was part of the resolutions at the end of Executive Council meeting held on Wednesday, 22 November, 2018.

The Council put on record, its gratitude, that of the entire state and the people to the Chairmen of the Governing Council of Osun State University, (UNIOSUN), Chief Mrs Folorunso Alakija for her immense contributions to the growth and development of the institution. Council noted in particular, the decision of Mrs Alakija to build a pediatric hospital for the use of the UNIOSUN community. However, Council directed the University Management to suspend the attempted re-introduction of medicine into its schedule of programmes. Council believes that it will be better to have medicine re-introduced when it is certain that all needed infrastructure are in place. It was the contention of the Council that it will be out of place to allow occurrence of the recent past to repeat itself and thus should have running of medicine and allied courses suspended.
