By Jide Afolabi, Jos
The National Coordinator for Buhari Campaign Organization, BCO, Hon Danladi Pasali has said the that the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate, President Muhammadu Buhari will defeat his major opponent, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2019 Presidential election.
Hon Pasali said this while addressing journalists at his resident in Nasarawa Gwom, Jos in Jos North LGA. He stated further that Executive Order No 6 of Mr President in fighting corruption is receiving a boost with the recent court ruling.
While commenting on the 2019 general election, Pasali said the election is going to be a game between integrity and dishonesty, because what Nigerians are looking for is someone with integrity not those that had stolen the resources of the common wealth of our citizens.
He taunted the former Vice President saying that he would defeated by President Muhammadu Buhari in his own home local government area of Jadda in Adamawa state owning to bad leadership Atiku had exhibited in the country.
Pasali challenged the former Vice President on the higher fees charged in his university and deplorable roads linking Adamawa state with some of the States in the north east region of the country.
He applauded the EOs 6 rule introduced by the President to fight corrupt person’s which Federal High Court ruled in favour of Government that the President has the right to issue the order.
According to him, those who rape the country to a stand still are from the PDP. “They introduced different type of crime to get away with by promoting ethnic agenda and encourage religious disharmony for their selfish plan” he stated.
He lamented that over 50 Nigerian politician’s are on the list of pronounced corrupt people in the world and about 99% of the wealth of Nigeria was moved outside the country.
He emphasized that the experience of moribund industries and lack of industry was a result of massive corruption in the system asking the PDP candidate why the country is still underdeveloped since 1999 to date.
Pasali explained, “the EOs 6 seek relief of the court to freeze assets of all those who are standing trial on allegations of corrupt practices and money laundering and those having case with EFCC and ICPC be banned from traveling outside the country which is considered as welcome development to the current fight against corruption.”
“You would recall that the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has upheld the EOs 6 of President Muhammadu Buhari. The order would enable ban on corrupt politician’s from obtaining visa to travel outside the country either for treatment or for business transaction.” he said.
He rejected the opposition’s claim that the order is dictatorial and an attempt to victimise opposition parties saying that there was no political undertone in the order.
Pasali maintained that former President Shehu Shagari brought a similar EOs in Borno and Oyo states in 1984 where the two governors challenged it in court and the court ruled in favour of the government.
