Najeem Saam At 53: Osun Assembly Holds Special Plenary To Celebrate Speaker
Osun State Assembly on Wednesday held a special plenary in commemoration of the Speaker, RT. Honourable Najeem Salam’s 53rd birthday.
In a statement signed by the Chairman, House Committee on Information and Strategy, Hon. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, the ceremonial sitting which was heavily attended by members of the parliament, Speaker’s friends, family members and associates was chaired by the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Akintunde Adegboye.
After the opening fire-packed prayers and song of praise both in the Christian and Islamic ways to the lord over the life of Dr. Salam, a lecture titled; ‘Stress Management; A Tool to Healthy Living’ was presented by Akeem Lasisi who is the Chief Medical Director, LAUTECH, represented by Dr. Babtunde Afolabi.
In his lecture, Hakeem Lasisi emphasized on stress management, balance diets, regular exercises, adequate rests as key to healthy living.
While passing commendations on the Speaker, his honourable colleagues in their deferent description of his leadership qualities, political ableness and commitment to human development and capacity building agreed that he is a man of several good parts.
They said his unique leadership style has assisted the Parliament in the last Seven and half years to achieve so much in the areas of law making and resolutions beneficiary to the citizenry of the state as well as mutual relationship with the Executive arm of government that promotes good governance witnessed in the state currently.
Responding to the encomiums, Dr. Najeem Salaam who was filled with gratitude to God for His favour on him as an orphan at the age of two as a result of the death of his mother promised not to relent his efforts in the service to humanity and keeping fate to the tenets of democracy.
