Late Arrival Of Materials, Absence of Electoral Officials Characterise APC Primary Election
Friday’s primary election of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to elect the party’s flag bearer for the September 22 gubernatorial election in Osun state has been marred by late arrival of electoral materials and outright absence of electoral officials.
CityMirrorNews reports that the exercise is also threatened by voter apathy as turnover of the electorate remained unimpressive as at 11:a.m.
The APC Electoral Committees had scheduled voting to commence at 8:00 am in the 30 local governments including the Area Office, Modakeke to elect party’s candidate for the gubernatorial election.
CityMirrorNews correspondent, who monitored the elections in Ayedaade and Irewole local government areas reported that at 10:20 am, electorate were seeing waiting for materials.
At ward 4, Otun Olufi Secondary school, Gbongan, voters were seeing waiting for electoral materials just as in ward 9, AUD primary school, Atile Ikire.
Also in Ward 7, Eripa, ward 4, 5 and 6 Igbajo in Boluwaduro Local Government among others, voters were seeing waiting for arrival of electoral materials and officials
