EFCC Summons Osun College of Education Officials over alleged N.3 fraud
Some top officials of the Osun State College of Education, Ila have been invited by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to explain what they know about an alleged illegal diversion of over N.3 billion approved for the construction of a lecture theatre and other valuable projects in the institution.
The invited officials include the Chairman of the college’s Governing Council, Oyeniyi Akande, Provost of the college, Professor Isaac Oyewole, registrar, Aderiola Adeoti, and the former bursar of the institution, Akin Latino.
Others are Basiru Gbadamosi and David Olayinka Olojede, a member of the governing council, Oyegbade Reuben Abayo, Amobi Yinusa Akinlola, Ayoola Peter Olajiola, Moses Oyewole Otitoola, Kujeunbola Oluwafemi, Omotosho Adeleke and Adeleke Sulaiman Ajala.
They are all to appear at the EFCC zonal office in Ibadan, Oyo state, according to a credible source.
A pressure group, the Coalition of Osun Civil Society for Emancipation of Osun State had petition the EFCC on the alleged diversion of the over N.3 billion approved for the construction of a lecture theatre and other valuable projects in the institution.
The anti-graft agency had few weeks ago invited the Chairman of the group, Mr Alimi Sulaimon to defend and adopt the petition.
