Ilerioluwa Brand Celebrates Osun Workers In Grand Style

The 2018 edition of the Workers` Day in Osun State may have come and gone but the memories it left behind will linger for a life time as the event was characterized with funfair by the Ilerioluwa 2018 project brand.

In commemorating the 2018 May Day celebrations, a multilingual jingle monitored was aired on all radio stations eulogizing the spirited efforts of Osun workers to the successes recorded by the Aregbesola administration, commending them for their cooperation, understanding and support with assurances that the stormy climate hovering over the unpalatable economic situation is almost over. Indeed, this will be the first time, a political brand will identify with the workers in recent times, so said a Labour leader on a Radio station in Osogbo.

Away from the media attention, as workers and trade unions trooped into the main bowl of the Osogbo township stadium, they were greeted by several thousands of educational materials distributed freely by the Ilerioluwa team, as a token of appreciation and recognition of the average worker in the state of Osun. In one of the exercise book cited by our reporter, the caption reads, “Team Ilerioluwa 2018 rejoices with Osun Workers on 2018 May Day” with the logo of NLC and TUC branded on it and several of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola completed projects highlighted at the back page. It was also observed that leaflet materials surfaced online, all in a bid to say thank you to the leadership and members of the different trade unions.

Findings by our channel revealed that the leadership of the NLC, TUC and JNC in the state are one of the strong pillars upon which the Ilerioluwa project was laid, as the rank and file of the civil service are so much in tune with the proponent of the Ilerioluwa project, one who is described as labour friendly and was responsible for the amicable resolution of the December 2017 impasse between the government and the labour unions. Rumour mills have it that the Chief of staff to the governor, Gboyega Oyetola who is one of the governorship aspirants from the APC fold may be the founder and intiator of the Ilerioluwa project.
