The legislator, was said to have ostensibly ignored request of Chief Sam Igbe, the Iyase of Benin, requesting the third term legislator to address the Benin monarch, Oba Ewuare II in her dialect as a native of Benin.
The Lawmaker however barred her fans and begun to read her speech during her thank you visit to the to the palace of the Oba of Benin recently.
After Chief Igbe had offered prayer to the ancestors for guidiance, in a rare display of tenderly affection, Oba Ewuare II, giggled at the lawmaker and asked frontally in Edo language, “did you shun Chief Iyase’s advice?”.
Peeved by the traditional ruler’s observation, Mrs, Ativie who adorned herself in white apparel and beads, bowed and held her deep breath in amazement and uncertainty for few seconds.
She however became fit as fiddle when she told waiting reporters outside the reception venue, said it pays to show gratitude.
