Oyo 2019: Akala Enters Race To Succeed Ajimobi

Ahead of the 2019 general elections, political activities are gradually taking shape in Oyo state.
The just concluded year 2017 witnessed the mass defection of political gladiators from their previous parties to new ones.
Investigation by CityMirrorNews correspondent also revealed that some Governorship Aspirants have started pasting their posters and erecting bill boards across the state most especially Ibadan, the state capital.
One of such is the former Governor, Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala, who in December announced his defection to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) seeking a return to Agodi Government House.
The Ogbomoso born politician is believed to be one of favourites to clinch the Governorship ticket of APC due to his popularity and acceptability among the grassroots.
As sighted by CityMirrorNews reporter, Akala Campaign Posters carry on its name plate “WATCH OUT, Otunba Christopher Alao-Akala for Governor of Oyo State in 2019.
Adebayo Alao-Akala had left the PDP for Labour party prior to the 2015 general elections due to the internal crisis within the erstwhile ruling party at the centre.
