Sixt-Media Lane Unveils 2026 Awards, National Leadership Lecture

-To Honour Selfless Nigerians

SIXT-MEDIA LANE, an online media platform, has announced plans to host its 2026 Annual Awards and National Leadership Lecture, with the organisers describing the event as a platform to celebrate Nigerians whose contributions have positively impacted society.

The prestigious event is scheduled to hold on November 12, 2026, at the Nigerian Army Resource Centre, Asokoro, Abuja, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Themed “Service Over Self: Celebrating Excellence, Honouring Impacts,” the event is expected to bring together leaders, public servants, entrepreneurs, professionals, traditional rulers, security chiefs, humanitarians, media practitioners and other notable Nigerians.

In a statement, the Publisher and Chairman of the Planning Committee, Amb. Prince Sixtus Opara, said the theme was carefully chosen to recognise individuals who have demonstrated commitment to national development and placed service to humanity above personal interests.

Opara said the award was designed to celebrate Nigerians who have distinguished themselves in various sectors, including governance, business, security, education, healthcare, media, entertainment, entrepreneurship, philanthropy and community development.

He said, “In a time when many are chasing personal glory, there are still men and women who are serving selflessly — in governance, business, security, education, health, media, entertainment, entrepreneurship, philanthropy and community development.

“This award is to celebrate excellence and honour their impacts. We want to tell their stories and inspire others to do more.”

According to the organisers, the annual awards will recognise distinguished Nigerians and organisations whose contributions have made meaningful impacts in their respective fields.

Categories of people expected to be considered for the awards include public servants, political leaders, traditional rulers, security chiefs, business leaders, entrepreneurs, humanitarians, clergy, youth icons, women of virtue, media practitioners and outstanding organisations.

The event will also feature a National Leadership Lecture, where eminent thought leaders are expected to examine critical national issues and proffer ideas aimed at promoting Nigeria’s development, unity and progress.

The organisers have consequently opened nominations to members of the public, organisations and individuals who wish to recommend credible and impactful Nigerians for recognition.

They urged members of the public to nominate individuals whose service, leadership and contributions have made a positive difference in their communities and the country at large.

According to the organisers, nominations should contain the nominee’s full name, organisation, category of award where applicable, a brief profile or details of achievements, as well as the contact details of the person making the nomination.

The organisers also announced that opportunities are available for sponsorship, partnership, media coverage and exhibition stands as part of the event.

Reiterating the vision behind the initiative, Opara said the programme was more than an awards ceremony, describing it as a platform for promoting a culture of selfless service and inspiring Nigerians to contribute meaningfully to national development.

“This is not just an award, it is a national movement to celebrate genuine service. We want Nigerians to be part of it. Nominate your hero today,” he said.

Members of the public and organisations interested in nominations, sponsorship, partnership or participation can contact the organisers via sixtmedialane2021@gmail.com, 09077706166 for calls, or 08036562634 on WhatsApp.

The ceremony is scheduled for November 12, 2026, at the Nigerian Army Resource Centre, Asokoro, Abuja, by 10:00 a.m.
