Updates on Osun West By-election: Peaceful Voting In Ode-Omu As Electorates Vote For Their Candidate
Voters in Odeomu, Ayedade Local Government, on Saturday turn out in good numbers, to cast their votes for their individual choice candidates at the on-going Osun West By-election.
The voters were out as early as 8am, queuing up, getting verifying as well as casting their votes at designated INEC polling centres in the town.
At polling unit 16, Ward five, the INEC presiding officer, Ms Precious Agbor said the voter cards reader machines was working fine as CityMirrorNews observed
Agbor said the election process was going on smoothly and that no incident had been recorded at the unit as the voters were orderly and civil in there conducts.
She said they were verifying the voters and that immediately after they were verified, they were allowed to cast their votes, and they allowed to leave thereafter.
The party agent for APC, Isa Jimoh and PDP agent, Muhamed Abdulmaleek at the polling unit both attest to the smooth conduct of the voting process at the unit.
They lauded the INEC officials for being on time and commencing the election process on time and as scheduled.
Two police officers and one NSCDC were observed to on ground to provide security at the polling unit as other security officers were at strategic locations in the town.
Ayedade Local Government is one of the ten local government areas were the by-election is holding in Osun.
