Oluwo Urges Iran’s New Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, to Choose Peace Over War
By Adedamola Odeyemi, Osogbo
The Paramount Ruler of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, has called on the newly appointed Supreme Leader of Iran, Mojtaba Khamenei, to prioritise peace, forgiveness, and global stability as tensions continue to escalate across the Middle East.
Oluwo, in a personal appeal, congratulated the Iranian leader and urged him to chart a path that would reduce suffering and avert further global hardship.
“I congratulate the newly appointed Iranians Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei. You assumed the leadership role at a very critical time. Your administrative prowess is a factor to the world’s peace or otherwise,” he said.
Expressing deep concern about rising global conflicts, the monarch noted that the world is currently experiencing severe distress. He said the Middle East is in turmoil and the ripple effects of ongoing violence are affecting vulnerable populations across continents.
“The world is groaning in pain. The Middle East is bleeding profusely. The pay of the gruesome assassination of the immediate past Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei cannot be forgotten in haste but there can’t be peace should we refuse to forgive ourselves.
“The economy is grounded already. The struggling classes are finding it harder to eat. The price of fuel has skyrocketed and is becoming unavoidable to the abject riding people. The economic heat is becoming unbearable,” he stated.
Oluwo appealed directly to the Iranian leader to adopt forgiveness as a strategy to reduce suffering and prevent the destruction of innocent lives.
According to him, ongoing conflicts are already pushing millions into deeper poverty. “I appeal to you to toe the path of forgiveness to rescue the innocent individuals from the avoidable hardship. If the war persists, the low and middle class population will be decimated by starvation,” he warned.
He further stressed that choosing peace is not an act of weakness but a sign of leadership and courage. Calling on world powers to support de-escalation, he said, “Embracing dialogue is not cowardice. Those who embrace peace are true winners. The US authority and Isreal leadership should call for truce. The amenities built for years by taxpayers collective wealth are destroyed and wiped out.”
Oluwo added that the global community is watching the decisions of the new Iranian Supreme Leader closely and believes peace is within reach if the right steps are taken.
“If Mojtaba Khamenei says yes to peace today, the world will be peaceful. I have strong hopes that your administration will be remembered for the restoration of peace, hope and prosperity to the world,” he said.
