Osun 2026: Osun Health Sector Poised For Rapid Development With Dr Sekinat Bola-Oyebamiji As First Lady – APC Chieftain

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress APC in Osun State, Prince Oyelude Oladele, has expressed optimism that the health sector in Osun State will witness significant development when Dr. Mrs. Sekinat Bola-Oyebamiji becomes the First Lady of the state following the victory of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji in the August 15, 2026 governorship election.

Prince Oladele made this known in a statement on Friday, where he described Dr. Sekinat Bola-Oyebamiji as a seasoned medical professional and a compassionate advocate for women and children’s health.

According to him, Dr. Bola-Oyebamiji, who currently serves as the President of the Medical Women Association of Nigeria (MWAN), Osun State Chapter, has consistently demonstrated strong commitment to improving healthcare services and promoting medical outreach programmes across the state.

He noted that her leadership in the association has contributed immensely to initiatives aimed at enhancing the wellbeing of communities, particularly in areas such as maternal and child health.

Oladele stated that her emergence as First Lady would bring renewed focus to critical aspects of healthcare delivery including preventive healthcare, rural medical outreach, and stronger support for health professionals in the state.

“With her wealth of experience in the medical profession and passion for humanitarian service, Osun citizens can expect stronger health advocacy, expanded healthcare programmes and better collaboration between government and medical practitioners,” he said.

Prince Oladele further explained that the anticipated role of Dr. Bola-Oyebamiji as First Lady would complement the leadership vision of the All Progressives Congress governorship aspirant, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji.

He added that the governorship ambition of Oyebamiji represents hope, progress and purposeful governance, particularly in the area of healthcare development.

According to him, the incoming administration is expected to prioritize investment in healthcare infrastructure, strengthen primary healthcare centres and ensure that quality medical services reach all communities across Osun State.

“The combination of a visionary governor and a First Lady with deep medical expertise presents a unique opportunity to transform the health sector in Osun State,” Oladele stated.

He therefore called on the people of Osun State to support the governorship ambition of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji in the forthcoming election scheduled for August 15, 2026.

Oladele urged citizens to unite behind the aspiration, noting that voting for Oyebamiji would not only bring capable leadership but also open the door for major improvements in healthcare and overall human development in the state.

He emphasized that the collective support of the people would help build a healthier and more prosperous Osun State where quality healthcare is accessible to all.
