Yahoo Boy Murders Childhood Friend Over$1,000 Proceed In Delta
An internet fraud suspect has been arrested by police in Delta State for allegedly killing his friend and former roommate after a disagreement over a $1,000 transaction.
The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Bright Edafe, disclosed that the incident occurred in Agbarho community, Ughelli North Local Government Area of the state on January 21.
He identified the 28-year-old suspect as Mr. Oghenegare and the victim as Mr. Courage.
Edafe said the duo had a disagreement during their alleged involvement in an internet fraud-related business transaction.
He said the disagreement led to a confrontation during which Oghenegare hit Courage in the head with a battle axe, which led to the latter’s death.

He added that the suspect ditched the murder weapon while escaping, noting that police operatives were still searching for it.
The police spokesman said the suspect was eventually caught and has been detained at the state command headquarters, Asaba.
Edafe decried the increasing rate of avoidable murder cases due to hot temper, drug abuse and other related issues.
During questioning, Oghenegare confirmed that Courage was his childhood friend.
He said the deceased introduced him to a yahoo job but later “logged” him out when it was time for the job to yield nearly $1,000.
