Ruling House Throws Out Wasiu’s Bid For Awujale Throne
The Fasengbuwa Ruling House of Ijebu has thrown out letter of bidding for the Awujale throne submitted by Fuji Musician Otunba Wasiu Ayinde Adewale, popularly referred to as K1 De Ultimate.
Wasiu had written the ruling house claiming to have been nominated for the throne by the lineage of Jadiara Ruling House, headed by Omoba Adetayo Abayomi Oduneye Eruobodo.
In a reply titled: ‘Re: Submission of Completed Fasengbuwa Ruling House Members Particulars and Linkage Form’ on Thursday, which was signed by six kingmakers, the irregularities in Wasiu’s letter of bidding were pointed out.
Among the grounds for rejection of his bid contained in the letter is that the approval for his letter allegedly by Chief Eruobodo was signed two days (on 8 Dec. 2025) before Wasiu himself signed on 10 Dec.
The Fasengbuwa House also listed as premises for rejection of Wasiu’s bid that:
“the form was not signed by the authorised representative (Family Head) of your purported Family Unit Head;
“Omoba Adetayo Abayomi Oduneye Eruobodo is not a registered member of the Jadiara Ruling House and therefore, has no locus standi to sign any linkage form on behalf of the family, and
“our extensive investigation has not revealed any proof of your membership of the Jadiara Royal House or indeed that of Fasengbuwa Ruling House.”
The House went further to say: “Consequently, the completed linkage lineage form is hereby declared null, void and of no consequence. For the avoidance of doubt, your claim to the membership of Fasengbuwa Ruling House is rejected and the completed form is of no consequence.”
