‎‎A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) inOsun State, Falilat Oyetunji, popularly known as Ero Arike, has retracted her earlier statement in which she claimed ownership of a gun and threatened to shoot members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

‎In a new Facebook post, Ero Arike denied possessing any firearm, explaining that her previous comments were made out of fear and not as a real threat

‎According to her, “I am here to speak on the speculations being peddled about on Facebook. Ordinary knockout banger I can’t fire. I only use my mouth to save myself. You all will remember when my mom was attacked at Olorunda community in Iragbiji. After that, they ordered to assassinate her.”

‎“I had to brag (slip of tongue) about having a gun because I was hearing gunshots in front of my shop. I did that to protect myself. I don’t own a gun,” she said.

‎Her clarification follows a viral video in which she was seen boasting of owning a gun and threatening to shoot anyone who confronted her. The video, which drew wide condemnation, also triggered public calls for her arrest and investigation by security agencies
