Panic In Osogbo Community As Middle-aged Man Killed While Returning From Mosque
The Osun State Police Command has launched a probe into the circumstances leading to the killing of a man, Adebisi Moruf.
Moruf was said to have been killed by yet to be identified people while returning from the mosque at about 6:30 a.m. today (Monday) at Church Area, Dada Estate.
Speaking on the issue, Osun Police spokesperson, Abiodun Ojelabi, said the case was reported to Dada Estate Police Station by a farmer who saw the lifeless body when going to farm.
He said, “The matter happened around 6:30 a.m. this morning. One Mr Oyewole was on his way to his farm when he discovered the body. He was the one who reported the matter.
“The body was later identified as Adebisi Moruf. His body was found at Church Street, Dada Estate, Osogbo.
“Immediately we got the information, we went there and evacuated the body. Our intelligence department is on the ground to move around to know what could be the cause.”
Ojelabi added, “We are going to conduct an autopsy to get any information. We are assuring the people of Osun State that we will unravel whatever is behind the killing.”
